What are Linkages? What are different types of Linkages? How does transfer of motion happens with the help of Linkages. How does Scissors mechanism work? How does linkages help in changing the direction of Motion? A Child can get answers to all these questions by performing 4 fun-filled, DIY (Do It Yourself) activities provided in this Box called “Machines We Use”.

The first activity is called “Snake Attack”. In this activity, the child will make a model which will demonstrate how Scissors mechanism works. This model also demonstrates the transfer of motion from one direction to another direction.

The second activity is called “Dog’s Eye”. In this activity, the child will understand the basic concept of Linkages.

The third activity is called “Brushing Boy”. In this activity, the child will make a toy using linkages and understand how transfer of motion happens.

The fourth activity is called “Guitar Boy”. In this activity, the child will apply the knowledge of concepts understood to make a playful toy.
