Explorer Box
The box is packed with four exciting activities to keep kids engaged and learning! Inside, you’ll find everything you need to explore the wonders of linkages:
- 4 Activities in 1 Box – Snake Attack, Dog’s Eye, Brushing Boy, Guitar Boy.
- Components for each model.
- Instruction Manual that gives clear directions for assembling the model.
- Pictorial illustration of the assembly process.
- Science concepts and working principles explanation behind each model.
Learning Outcomes
Snake Attack
Teaches children about linkages and how they are used in machines to change the direction of motion in Linear Directions. Children build a Snake Attack model. The concept of Scissor mechanism, used in Linkages, comes to life in the Snake Attack Model.
Dog’s Eye
Helps children understand the different types of linkages used in machines, to change the direction of motion from Linear to Circular. They also build a model that mimics the movement of a dog’s eye, while learning about two-bar linkages.
Brushing Boy
The model shows how linkages can change the direction of motion, from Linear to Clockwise and Counterclockwise directions at the same time. Children will build a model that moves a brush side by side, thereby brushing the boy’s teeth..
Guitar Boy
Demonstrates how linkages can be used to create two opposite directions of circular movements. Children will build a guitar player model that strums the strings, while dancing at the same time.
- Concept of Linkages
- Different types of Linkages
- Transfer of Motion with the help of Linkages
- Change in Direction of Motion due to Linkages
